About Mrs. Wamsley
Mrs. Sarah Wamsley is a Business Education / Information Management Teacher at Buckhannon-Upshur High School in Buckhannon, West Virginia, where she teaches Design Courses such as Digital Imaging I, Digital Imaging II, Desktop Publishing, WebPage Design and Coding Courses such as Coding, App, and Game Design I & II; and AP Computer Science Principles. In the Design classes students use Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign; while the coding courses cover an array of programming languages such as: HTML, CSS, JAVA, JAVA Script, Python, and C++. For the 2019-2020 school year, Mrs. Wamsley will be piloting a new course called Virtual Enterprise (VE).
Sarah Wamsley attended Fairmont State University College where she obtained as Associate Degree for Administrative Office Management, a Bachelors in Business Education, and a Masters in Digital Media and New Literacies. Mrs. Wamsley took many graphic design courses during her college experience including: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Illustrator; through these courses she developed a love for design. Additionally Mrs. Wamsley held a work study job at the Recreational Center at Fairmont State University; where she applied her skills in the Adobe Programs to create various types of flyers, posters, and advertisements, as well as other administrative assistant work.
