On Monday, Brier Hayes, a freshman at Buckhannon-Upshur High School placed 3rd in the 2022-2023 DECA CDC State Competition in Automotive Services Marketing. DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.
The B-U DECA chapter takes students to state competition and other travel activities as part of the total educational program because our goal is to develop leadership skills, professional attitudes, business competencies, citizenship characteristics, and social growth in individuals.
Our club provides members with opportunities to serve in leadership roles, work in teams, and receive local, state and national recognition.
