Students completing lab work

Imagine: a well-known jewelry store has been broken into and their prized diamond necklace has been stolen! Luckily, the perpetrator left behind a useful piece of evidence- loose fibers! The crime scene investigation team works diligently to collect the fibers and deliver them to the forensic scientist back at the lab so analysis can begin!

The forensic science students at Buckhannon-Upshur High School have taken their laboratory skills and forensics of fibers knowledge to a new level. These students analyzed six unique fibers by using a burn test and dye analysis to discover both chemical and physical properties of each fiber!
