WV School Learning Environment Student Survey
B-UHS students have been asked to take an anonymous survey to gain input about their school. The feedback they provide will be used to help make improvements to ensure B-UHS provides a positive and supportive place for students to learn and for teachers to work.
The Survey will be administered online in a classroom. It will take about 20-30 minutes to complete. There is an opt out form attached to this story if you choose to have your student not take the survey. Please print it, sign it and return it to B-UHS by November 4, 2022 if you choose.

The first project graduation meeting for senior parents will be Monday, September 26th at 6PM in the cafeteria. Please try to attend.
Parents of seniors, juniors, and sophomores, B-UHS class ring orders will be taken Wednesday, September 21st during lunch and after school from 3:30-5:30 in the cafeteria. Herff Jones order packets can be picked up by your student in the office.

B-UHS picture day for seniors in Monday, August 22, 2022. Picture day for juniors, sophomores and freshman will be Tuesday, August 23rd. Students will receive order forms today in advisory. Photos of the order form can be found on the B-UHS Facebook page also.
This is Mr. West the principal at BUHS, on behalf of our school community I want to welcome you to the 22-23 school year. We have several changes that are designed to help the learning environment.
1. To provide equal education to all we will not have a senior bell at the end of the school day. We are working with the seniors to create some other privileges for the class.
2. Students will not be allowed to wear hats in the building. This will keep things more consistent.
3. The dress code for tops requires shoulder straps to be three fingers wide and mid-drifts to be covered. Students will be asked to change, provided clothing, or can wait in ISS or the office for a change of clothes from home.
4. Shorts should have an inseam of 5 inches. Students should not wear shorty shorts. Students may be asked to change if their shorts are too short.
5. Cell phones will not be allowed on or out in the classroom. Students are provided devices to use for instruction at school. Teacher may grant an exception to this if necessary.

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year. As we are preparing for the opening of school there are some errors in some of our students’ schedules. We are working to fix these errors. Students are being asked to follow the schedule they are given. We will have a process to request schedule changes and work to make sure the student has a schedule that meets the requirements for graduation and their interests.
Student schedules will be available at the Open House on August 16 from 4 - 6. We will not be able to make any schedule changes during the Open House. Students will be able to follow the procedure when they are in school starting August 17.
